Int’l Section of Quran Exhibition Launched in Tehran

TEHRAN (IQNA) – The international section of the 26th Tehran International Quran Exhibition was launched on Sunday, the 11th day of the holy month of Ramadan.

 

Ambassadors of a number of Muslim countries to Iran as well as Quranic and religious figures were present at the opening ceremony.

Mahmoud Vaezi, the secretary of the international section, in an address said the section aims to make known the Quranic capacities of Iran at the international level.

He described Iran as the number one country in the Muslim world in the Quranic field and in terms of the scope of Quranic activities.

The ambassadors of Palestine and Algeria also addressed the event, thanking the organizers for holding such Quranic programs which will lead to enhanced Muslim unity.

Elsewhere at the function, a Quran translation into the Pashtu language and four Quranic journals in English, Arabic, Urdu and Turkish were unveiled.

The 26th Tehran International Quran Exhibition has been underway at the Imam Khomeini (RA) Mosalla here in the Iranian capital since May 19.

The expo is annually organized by the culture ministry during the holy month of Ramadan.

It is aimed at promoting Quranic concepts and developing Quranic activities.

The expo showcases the latest Quranic achievements in the country and other countries as well as a variety of products dedicated to the promotion of the Holy Book.
